Farida Ihab is in her final year of graduate studies in Creative Arts Therapy at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. She has studied psychology, art, and philosophy, all of which she utilizes with clients to express, explore, and understand life experiences. Farida has trained and worked in a hospital setting, a private clinic, and non-profit organizations, exposing her to an array of mental health issues. In her professional and personal life, Farida has found that creating art can surface emotional, physical, and behavioral experiences, which cater to one’s healing process, self-growth, and self-awareness. As a second year graduate student doing her final practicum, she is excited to learn, grow and play with the New York Creative Arts Therapists team.
